Overhead kick
Time stands still as you leap acrobatically and
prepare to blast the ball into the back of the net for
a glorious winner. As the driving rain lashes your
eyes it occurs to you that this is a bit unnecessary
as all you needed to do was head the ball in...but, hey,
what the hell. The ball goes careening up into the
roof of the net and you're just about to celebrate
when there's a blinding flash and a freak lightning
strike vapourises the ball. The ref doesn't think all
of the ball had crossed the line before being
vapourised. Bugger. GT still refuses to send Wooter on
to replace you, as he's convinced it's only a matter
of time before your luck changes. As you struggle on
manfully and the match fizzles out into a draw, you
wonder what would have happened if only you'd
attempted...
