Catch ball on chest
Time stands still as you catch the ball skilfully on
your chest and prepare to blast it into the back of
the net for a glorious winner. As the driving rain
lashes your eyes it occurs to you that it's just that
little bit too straight so you won't be able to make
your mind up which way to swivel and hook the ball in.
Instead you let the ball run down your chest so you
can toe-poke it in, but that gives the defender just
enough time to recover and he goes clattering into
you. The ball goes careening up into the sky and you
realise that both your legs are broken but the ref
still doesn't give a penalty. Bugger. You're
stretchered off and GT sends Wooter on; in the five
minutes that he's on he sets up Tommy Smith for his
hat-trick before grabbing a brace himself and Watford
win 5-2. As you lie in hospital, you wonder what would
have happened if only you'd attempted...
