Again, it's difficult for me to judge John White because I've only seen him play a couple of times. An industrious midfielder, he was hugely unlucky in that his career was halted by a Gazza-style injury that ruled him out for a couple of seasons. Had that not happened, he might well have seen first team action - particularly because, midway through the 95/96 season, the midfield was virtually non-existent. As I say, I've seen too little of him to make a real judgement but he's one I would have liked to have been given a chance, especially since we're off-loading other midfielders and there'll be gaps in the squad that need filling.
