Saint of the Day: Saint Morwenna, for personal reasons. When the local people at what was to become Morwenstow in northern Cornwall wanted to build a church, Morwenna carried a large stone, perched on her head, up from the beach to the clifftop, causing a holy spring to gush forth when she dropped it for a rest. The church was built on the spot where she finally laid the stone down, in the village near the clifftops and the Atlantic's stormy seas. A very beautiful part of the world to spend your time.
