Saint of the Day: Born into Venetian nobility, Saint Cajetan became a priest to devote his life to the poor. His good works included founding a bank to help the poor avoid loan sharks, which later became the bank of Naples. He was also known for betting prayers, rosaries and candles with his parishioners on whether he would do them a good deed. He always won the bet and they had to pay up in prayers.
