BLIND, STUPID AND DESPERATE

04/05: Preview: Plymouth Argyle
BSaD opinion
by Matt Rowson

How will they do?
Very difficult one to call, not having seen Argyle for a couple of years. Certainly the margin of their promotion implies that there's quality there, quality that was already being suggested by a stout enough performance against Vialli's side three years ago. However the upheaval caused by Sturrock's departure threatened to up-end the promotion bid, and whilst new boss Bobby Williamson has plenty of management experience, the exclusively Scottish-based recruitment policy would not inspire me with confidence. However good these players are - and neither Crawford nor Makel pulled up any trees during their previous forays in England - they are being asked to relocate across the country as well as settle into a new team in a different league. Could struggle.
