BLIND, STUPID AND DESPERATE

02/03: Preview: Grimsby Town
BSaD opinion
by Matt Rowson

How did they do?
Shockingly badly for the most part, even considering their relatively modest resources. Paul Groves improbably salvaged Division One football for the Mariners as he oversaw a late rally.

How will they do?
Surprised themselves by staying up last time, have had their squad chipped away further by summer departures and are being forced to attempt to bring in some money for their best remaining squad members. Paul Groves has been at Blundell Park forever and is still managing to be surprised by how difficult his job is becoming. Very bottom, sadly.

Grimsby on Big Brother...?
Remote, distant, rarely part of the group. Prone to sitting on their own in the rain whilst the rest of the housemates mutter about how surprising it is that they haven't been voted out yet. Makes a mean fish and chips.
