BLIND, STUPID AND DESPERATE

01/02: Preview: Walsall
BSaD opinion
by Matt Rowson

How did they do?
Were there or thereabouts all season, and pulled the plug on the painfully-desperate-for-promotion Reading in Cardiff. Which was funny.

How will they do?
Having bundled their way in through the play-offs, the Saddlers' own supporters don't seem to hold out much confidence of survival. For all Ray Graydon's continued good work, it's difficult to disagree.

Do we like them?
Walsall's name still conjures images of the epic three-match cup tie in 1987. We've had six games against the Saddlers since then. I don't remember any of them. So Walsall fourteen years ago (even David Kelly) were cool at any rate.

If they were a tv or radio show, what would they be?
"The Holiday Programme". You've watched it plenty of times, but couldn't say when.
