BLIND, STUPID AND DESPERATE

01/02: Preview: Norwich City
BSaD opinion
by Matt Rowson

How did they do?
The most innocuous season by any side, ever. One of the beauties of the play-offs is that until the very end of the season no side is both safe from relegation and out of sight of the a chance of promotion. Except Norwich.

How will they do?
They're treading water again, at best. The signings they've made are solid enough, either Rivers or Easton could come up trumps... but it wouldn't take too much bad luck to see the Canaries struggling badly. Bottom half, at any rate.

Do we like them?
The game at Carrow Road before our relegation in 1996 was almost a love-in. Five years on and an astonishingly antagonistic finish to the corresponding fixture last season obliterated the last strands of goodwill. Key player in that chaos Lee Marshall has since joined Leicester, but the game at Vicarage Road would have been all the more enjoyable if his flying volley had beaten his own goalkeeper.

If they were a tv or radio show, what would they be?
The series you used to watch when you were a bit younger. There are re-runs now but you always forget when it's on. "Only Fools and Horses", maybe. But not as good.
