Choices
By Matt Rowson
A fork in the road. Two paths.
Path one: the season is finished. We had our chance, were top of the table
at the start of November, blew it. The Division One season has exposed our
limitations, we're not as good as we hoped we were. We're not good enough
to get promoted.
Path two: the season is heading for its climax. We're still in with more
than a decent shout. We've shown what we can do, even against the stronger
sides in the division, and it's more than good enough. We're more than good
enough to get promoted.
We must choose a path. Because despite the lows of some of the recent
games, it's far from over, the decision is still to be made. At around 9.20
on Wednesday night, Watford remembered how good they were capable of being.
But this choice, the choice of which path we take, is a choice the club,
team, supporters, make together.
Which path sounds more fun?
