BLIND, STUPID AND DESPERATE

00/01: Season preview:
Huddersfield: opposition opinion
by Rich Mills of The Huddersfield Net with help from the Huddersfield Mailing List

How will Huddersfield do next season?
Personally I think Town will finish higher than we did last season, yet again our season was destroyed by a deluge of injuries half way through thus the spiral downwards of our form and league position. The pitch (which was mainly to blame, due to its hardness) has been sorted out now, and Dr Death (the physio) has gone to Portsmouth.

What do you/Huddersfield think of Watford?
Of all the 3 sides that came down Watford are the best equipped to put up a challenge. I didn't think they were that good when they went up but they have most of the same side that took them up and will be stronger for the experience of playing in the Prem. Also as they didn't bust a gut trying to compete financially they will be able to strengthen a little this summer. I reckon a finish of 8/9th awaits them.

What is the most beautiful thing about Huddersfield?
Blue and white stripes, Meat Pies, the Stadium.

What is the ugliest thing about Huddersfield?
That horrible reddy brown colour on the seats in the stands, Steve Bruce and that photo in the boardroom. Scary!

Which pundit do Huddersfield fans hate the most and please think of something creative to do to him/her?
Jimmy Hill is past it. Chop his head off and use it as a golf tee, Alan Brazil - not repeatable on a family listing.

Can you recommend a friendly pub near the McAlpine?
The Rope Walk on the complex itself.

Where's the best place to park near the McAlpine?
No idea - loads of car parks nearby - MUCH better than Watford for that. Try behind Ricky's Bar on Leeds Road.

What's the nearest railway station to the McAlpine and how far is it ?
Huddersfield main station is about a fifteen-minute stroll from the ground.
